WHISKER 2020
The WHISKER is a light, size 25 reel for carp work where accuracy is at a premium, especially with 10’ rods. Boasting the latest Daiwa technologies, it features a high-density Zaion carbon body that’s both light and tough. The key properties of the reel – smoothness and sealedness – remain perfectly intact. The smoothness is accentuated by the specialised rotor with an arc-shaped profile in DS5 carbon.
Daiwa has tooled a new spool making the Whisker 2020 a custom build for long distance work. This spool has a specific design, with an oscillation height of just 25mm and its conical angle increased by 2 degrees to optimize line release and ultimately boost distance on the cast. Thanks to the QD drag, the fish will be able to run immediately on picking up the bait, and you’ll be able to take back control with a single turn of the button!
